Spiritual Inspiration and Book Review
I was lucky growing up that my family for the most part dealt well with my various and sundry meltdowns. Some of what helped me to eventually become even sort of even tempered was the fact that my parents tried to take a spiritual approach to dealing with me. Not surprisingly in America some of that meant organized religion for a while – but that direction changed to some extent as the years went by. So if you are looking for some spiritual inspiration, my folks are the kind of people that can often help you find it! And now – my Mother has written a book that can inspire you spiritually as well.
Still, at one point, my mother and my stepfather were actually students at a seminary. So – I grew up hearing stories and “lessons” about spirituality from the time I was a little tyke and those helped me immensely. And that brings us to where we are today. My mother’s first book “Spiritually Inspired” is out via Amazon. And I think that many people reading these words may enjoy it and benefit from it. It’s available as an e-book and also in paperback.
My Honest Review of “Spiritually Inspired”
Of course, that doesn’t mean everyone is going to really like it or benefit from the book. If you believe that all there is to life is things you can see, touch, and measure – you’re probably not going to be interested (and that’s all right, you’re still welcome around here!) This book is a collection of little stories and musings – some simple and quick, some a lot more profound.
If you’re looking for a somewhat heavy-duty treatise on the meaning of life, this isn’t it. But it will touch your heart and spirit, and will probably make you think!
You’ll note I said “first” book. The second one is underway as Mom’s been writing for years. The second one will have many more stories and some more in-depth discussion of spirituality and how it affects us. If you are a Kindle unlimited member you can read it for free of course, and the e-book is only .99! Some people will be put off by the fact that this is a short book. If you’re one of them, you may want to wait for the second book, which will be longer and more thought-provoking.
This book is not a long one – it’s only about 35 pages. But it gives you a taste of the way the spiritual comes into our everyday lives. Early reviews are positive as you can see for yourself. She wrote this book because she wants to help people and to inspire them. Check it out if you are so inclined. It’s not your “typical” spiritual book.
